Job Description ICT & Resources Assistant (Virtual School Sensory Support) | 10502 | Permanent Contract | 20 hours per week - Term Time plus two weeks | £12,339.23 to £12,535.79 per annum | Grade D | County Hall, Norwich An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time ICT & Resources Assistant within the Virtual School Sensory Support (VSSS) team. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least one day per week at County Hall. VSSS works across Norfolk to support deaf, vision-impaired and multi-sensory-impaired children and young people, working closely with families, educational settings and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes. We are seeking a hard-working, customer-focused and efficient individual to provide a wide range of support, including the preparation and management of specialist equipment and learning resources. The role includes supporting the planning and organisation of events, activities and training, as well as arranging travel and accommodation. You will need a methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people. Excellent customer service skills are essential, along with flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks. Strong IT skills and a collaborative team-working approach are essential. You will also need a willingness to learn and confidence in using new technologies to support sensory-impaired children and young people. Training will be provided on specialist equipment and resources. VSSS operates mainly as a term-time service. Flexibility is important, and the successful candidate is likely to work Mondays and Tuesdays, with additional agreed days as required.
