We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Community Teacher to support students who are currently disengaged from education. You will work closely with a small caseload of up to 5 students in the communityvisiting homes, local facilities, or community spaces to help them overcome barriers and prepare for re-entering formal education. Key Responsibilities: Provide academic and pastoral support to students in the community Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives Assess and monitor student progress, setting clear targets Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff Promote good attendance, behaviour, and participation Work closely with school leadership to implement policies and best practices Maintain accurate records and report on student progress Travel within the community own vehicle and a clean driving licence are essential ; mileage paid Qualifications & Skills: Qualified teacher status (QTS/QTLS) or willing to work towards it Degree or equivalent Maths and English to at least Level 2 Strong communication and organisational skills Experience working with vulnerable or challenging students preferred Commitment to pastoral care and promoting positive relationships Ability to manage student behaviour effectively Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection Additional Info: Enhanced DBS check required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and adaptable approach If youre motivated to make a real difference in young peoples lives and support their journey back into education, wed love to hear from you!
