Potensis are please to partner with a a leading national residential developer is seeking a Partnerships Manager to drive growth in its publicly funded housing portfolio. Based in Northampton, this strategic role focuses on building partnerships with housing associations and local authorities to deliver high-quality affordable housing across the UK.
The Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to build strategic relationships and support the delivery of affordable housing projects. This is a front-end role suited to someone with a strong understanding of the construction industry and a desire to influence project pipelines from the earliest stages.
You will operate at both strategic and operational level: identifying opportunities, structuring deals, negotiating terms and driving sites through to contract.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
* Develop and lead a Land & Partnerships strategy aligned to long-term delivery targets
* Build and maintain strong relationships with Housing Associations, Registered Providers and Local Authorities
* Identify and secure land and development opportunities for affordable, mixed-tenure and regeneration schemes
* Negotiate land deals, options, joint ventures and development agreements
* Structure partnership-led housing schemes including s106, framework and direct delivery models
* Work closely with internal commercial, technical and construction teams to ensure sites are viable, deliverable and compliant
* Lead the bid and acquisition process from opportunity identification through to contract
* Maintain and manage a strong development pipeline
* Represent the business at industry events, partnership meetings and strategic forums
Key Requirements:
* Background in construction, ideally with experience in residential or social housing.
* Existing network of contacts across housing associations and local authority housing teams.
* Ability to engage with clients and partners to identify opportunities and support bid development.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
