We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Carpentry Lecturer to join our Construction team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and practical training to learners across a range of carpentry courses. You will support students in developing industry-relevant skills, ensure a positive learning environment, and contribute to the continued success of the department. The temporary post offers flexibility and the potential to transition into a permanent position, depending on both candidate preference and departmental needs. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver practical and theoretical carpentry lessons to learners of varying abilities. * Prepare lesson plans, materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements. * Provide guidance, feedback, and support to help learners achieve their qualifications. * Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure appropriate use of tools and equipment. * Contribute to curriculum development and team planning where required. * Engage with college policies, quality processes, and safeguarding expectations. Requirements: * Industry experience in carpentry or joinery (essential). * Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (support may be available). * Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success. * Ability to deliver inspiring, hands-on learning sessions
