Development Technology HR Business Partner

What You’ll Be Doing
* Act as the key HR point of contact for Tech leadership, proactively understanding business priorities and talent needs.
* Work with recruitment and managers to develop effective recruitment strategies for technical roles, attracting and retaining top‑tier talent.
* Drive and support the performance cycle, providing expert guidance on goal setting and constructive feedback tailored for technical teams.
* Advise on workforce planning and change management to optimise team structures and enhance efficiency.
* Provide expert advice and resolution on complex employee relations matters, supporting managers to navigate challenging situations with fairness and compliance.
* Partner on competitive and equitable compensation and benefit offerings to retain our best people.
* Champion initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and vibrant work environment for our tech employees.
Skills And Experience Required
* Proven HR Business Partner experience, supporting managers within technology or development functions.
* Strong understanding of the technology landscape, including software development methodologies and technical skill sets.
* In‑depth knowledge of core HR disciplines – Performance Management, Compensation, Employee Relations, Organisational Development – applied to support effective team leadership.
* Exceptional consulting skills: coaching, influencing, rapport‑building with senior tech leaders and managers.
* Analytical ability to use HR data and analytics to diagnose issues and inform data‑driven decisions.
* Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Relevant degree or Professional HR qualification (e.g., CIPD Level 5 or 7) – highly desirable.
Location & Working Arrangements
During the first six months you will be mainly on‑site in our Leyland/Skelmersdale or Manchester offices. After that, a hybrid model is likely, to be discussed at interview.
