The Packaging Engineer – EMEA supports packaging engineering activities across the region, ensuring packaging solutions meet product, market, and regulatory requirements while delivering best-in-class performance at speed. Working closely with co-packers, bottlers, and internal stakeholders, including Quality, NPD, Operations, and Commercial, this role plays a critical part in the development, validation, and continuous improvement of packaging solutions across primary, secondary, and tertiary formats. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with regional impact, supporting trials, documentation, audits, sustainability initiatives, and packaging performance across the Monster Energy EMEA supply chain. Key Responsibilities Packaging Development & Validation Review and develop packaging solutions that meet product, market, and regulatory requirements Coordinate with co-packers and bottlers to execute packaging validation plans and ensure compliance with agreed specifications Support validation activities across aluminium cans, multipacks, trays, shrink films, and pallet wraps Develop and align packaging validation protocols, test procedures, and success criteria for secondary and tertiary packaging Specification & Data Management Develop, validate, and maintain detailed packaging specifications with clear version control and accessibility Collect, capture, and maintain packaging component weights, dimensions, and palletisation data within central systems ( Evolve / SAP ) Trial Execution & Design Sign-Off Plan, coordinate, and execute packaging trials with co-packers and bottlers Record trial results, assess outcomes, and recommend improvements where required Validate and approve packaging dielines for trays, shrink film, multipacks, and pallet configurations Supplier, Co-Packer & Site Support Support Quality and Engineering teams with packaging supplier audits and on-site packaging line trials Monitor packaging line performance at co-packer sites, identify issues, and recommend performance improvements Support logistics and local engineering teams with transport packaging-related quality complaints Sustainability & Continuous Improvement Act as a sustainability advocate, contributing to initiatives that improve packaging materials, efficiency, and practices across the EMEA supply chain Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining performance and compliance standards Position Requirements Strong verbal communication and presentation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional environments Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with limited supervision Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Outlook Work Environment & Physical Requirements Occasional travel may be required Prolonged PC monitor use Combination of sitting, standing, and on-site activity at co-packer and bottler locations How to Apply If you’re ready to make a measurable impact within a high-performance, fast-paced global brand, we’d love to hear from you.
