Front Office C# Developer - Commodities - Team Lead
A leading global markets firm is hiring a Senior/Team Lead C# developer to lead a desk-facing development team supporting its commodities trading business in London.
This is a hands-on role sitting directly with front office users (trading, sales, structuring), building and owning the tools they rely on day-to-day. You will lead a small team while remaining actively involved in development, delivery and production support.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading a small front office development team (task allocation, priorities, stakeholder management)
* Working directly with traders and senior business stakeholders to deliver solutions
* Designing and building pricing, market data, risk and reporting tools
* Owning delivery end-to-end from requirements through to production support
* Managing competing priorities across project work and live trading support
* Driving improvements in architecture, scalability and long-term platform stability
Tech environment
* C# / .NET / .NET Core
* Microservices architecture
* SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB
* Angular / AngularJS
* Market data integration (Bloomberg, Reuters)
What they’re looking for
* Strong hands-on C# / .NET development experience
* Background working in front office / trading environments
* Solid understanding of financial markets and derivatives
* Experience building trading, pricing, risk or market data tools
* Previous team lead experience (small team, hands-on)
* Comfortable dealing directly with senior front office stakeholders
* Able to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Nice to have
* Commodities / energy / metals experience
* Experience with real-time market data and pricing systems
* Exposure to global teams / working with head office functions
