Fife Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) - Senior Nurse: Transitions Service/Young People’s Team
Fife CAMHS is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join as a Senior Nurse in the Transitions Service/Young People’s Team.
This role aims to enhance services for children and young people requiring specialist mental health assessment and treatment. You will join an established team committed to providing effective community assessments and therapeutic interventions.
You will manage a caseload, assess, and deliver therapeutic interventions both individually and in groups to young people with diverse mental health challenges. The role requires autonomous working across hospital and community settings, with knowledge of Adult Mental Health Services. Experience working with trauma and/or care system-experienced individuals is essential.
We are committed to staff development and encourage participation in the NES CAMHS development programme and bespoke training tailored to individual and service needs.
Applicants should be Registered Mental Health Nurses with significant post-registration experience working therapeutically with adolescents with complex mental health issues. Evidence of continuous professional development is desirable.
The role involves responding to service and locality needs, including travel across Fife and wider areas.
For informal enquiries, contact Eugene Adams, Nurse Consultant, at 01334 696250 or eugene.adams@nhs.scot.
Note: Due to legislative changes effective from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If classified as a "regulated role," appointment will be subject to PVG Scheme membership. Further details can be found at Disclosure Scotland Changes.
