The Role
As a Senior Network Engineer your role is to deliver, review, support and optimise the network infrastructure.
* Configure, maintain, and monitor network equipment across multiple sites, including cloud environments. Oversee WAN, routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, traffic optimizers, and wireless devices, both on-premises and in Azure.
* Implement and enforce physical and virtual network security procedures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
* Ensure all network devices are up to date with the latest patches and firmware.
* Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network issues encountered by users across the organization.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Conduct R&D on new technologies and vendor products and run Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support business requirements. Participate in a regular on-call rota to provide after-hours support for the business.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation of project scopes, network designs, and configurations.
* Guide the team in alignment with the road map, providing mentoring and training to junior engineers and support teams.
The Candidate
* Cisco switching and routing full command knowledge.
* Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall experience.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.
* WiFi, Setup, management and troubleshooting.
* Physical datacentre support, rack, stack, cabling as required.
