About the role: The role combines practical, on-the-job experience with a structured Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship programme, covering core areas such as data analysis, SQL, visualisation, and data management. They will be working in a highly varied systems landscape, including: MIS and core systems (e.g. iSAMS) Reporting and data platforms (SQL Server, Power BI, Central, SSRS, BoldReports) Operational and third-party systems (e.g. SOCS, WisePay, CPOMS, HubSpot, SchoolCloud) Automation and integration tools (e.g. Power Automate, Wonde, SSIS, Parserr Hands-on experience in collecting, maintaining, analysing and presenting data from a wide range of school systems. They will support the production of reports and dashboards, help ensure data quality and consistency, and contribute to improving how systems, analytics, AI and data are used across the school. Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining accurate and reliable data across school systems Support data imports, exports, validation and cleansing Help ensure data consistency across integrated platforms Produce and maintain reports for academic, pastoral and operational use Support development of dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Excel Assist in analysing trends and identifying insights from data Present data clearly to support decision-making Desirable skills: Experience working in an educational setting Experience using a school MIS – especially iSAMS Awareness of databases or SQL Experience using Excel for data analysis Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) Interest in automation or system integration Entry requirements: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
