KS3 SEN Teacher – Special School
Long-term | Immediate Start
£140 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a KS3 SEN Teacher to join a high-quality Special School that provides outstanding education and pastoral care for learners with additional needs.
About the School
The school supports pupils aged 7-16, with a small number of post-16 placements up to age 18 for learners who require additional time to complete their studies. The setting specialises in supporting learners with:
1. Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
2. Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
3. Sensory processing needs
4. Emotional and mental health needs, including anxiety
5. Specific Learning Difficulties
Pupils follow a broad and ambitious curriculum, working towards iGCSEs, GCSEs (including Entry Levels), ASDAN and vocational qualifications, with clear pathways into Further and Higher Education.
Outdoor learning is a key feature of the school, supported by a passionate and well-established outdoor learning department.
The Role
6. Teaching KS3 pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
7. Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
8. Supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally
9. Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families
10. Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
This is a long-term role with an immediate start, subject to compliance and vetting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
✅ Experience working with SEN and SEMH
✅ A calm, patient and resilient approach
✅ Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
✅ Right to work in the UK
