Overview
Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics at Circle Health Group. The Park Hospital, Nottingham. 25 hours per week, permanent. Salary: Up to £45,825.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).
This is a part-time role requiring a flexible shift pattern. The Park Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of private healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics.
Duties Of This Role Include
* Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, anticipating surgeon needs, and ensuring equipment safety; support the Anaesthetist in equipment preparation, patient monitoring, airway management, and positioning; provide post-operative care, monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, and ensuring patient readiness for discharge.
* Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
* Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and specific patient requirements.
* Check all surgical and anaesthetic equipment prior to use and report faults immediately.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve safe and efficient surgical lists.
* Support and contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient theatre environment.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
* Experience or training in a theatre environment specialising in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery.
* Understanding of infection control, manual handling, and patient safety principles.
* Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and respond quickly to changes in a dynamic environment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to safe surgical practice.
