One of my local government clients is recruiting an Asset Management Analyst (Energy) for a 12-month temporary assignment. This is a key role supporting the Council’s housing asset management strategy, specifically focused on energy performance, compliance, and long-term investment planning.
Harlow is a well-connected and thriving district, offering excellent amenities, strong transport routes, and direct access to London and Stansted Airport.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage EPC consultants to ensure the housing portfolio meets minimum energy efficiency standards.

Analyse the housing stock to evaluate asset performance and identify investment opportunities that improve the quality and standard of council properties.

Maintain accurate and reliable data within the Council’s asset management system, MRI Asset.
*
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
*
Validate and interpret EPC/SAP outputs for asset management and compliance purposes.
*
Identify gaps, trends, and opportunities to drive improvements in energy performance across the housing stock.
Experience and Skills Required:

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
*
Previous experience in asset management, housing analysis or real estate analysis.
*
Knowledge of social housing regulations and asset management practices.
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and present complex data.
*
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
*
Experience working with asset management data systems such as MRI, Orchard or Sava Intelligent Energy (desirable).
