Electronics Engineering Lead Location: Central London (minimum 3 days on-site per week, including Wednesdays; hybrid arrangement for remaining days)About the CompanyWe are a growing health-tech company working on pioneering solutions for early-stage disease detection. With scalability and global impact as central goals, our innovations are targeted at transforming diagnostic pathways in both high- and low-resource settings.Role OverviewThis leadership role sits at the core of our hardware development efforts. You will be responsible for managing and advancing our electronic systems, guiding a small team of hardware, electronics, and test engineers. In addition to overseeing internal hardware evolution and testing, you’ll collaborate across teams on product development and regulatory alignment, with a focus on integrating hardware with algorithmic systems.The position calls for someone who can both quickly grasp existing systems and drive longer-term vision and innovation. A strong understanding of signal processing and system integration is essential.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the electronics and hardware team, ensuring timely delivery of technical milestonesOwn and develop internal testing strategies and procedures for hardware systemsPropose and steer future hardware development initiatives in line with product goalsCollaborate with external manufacturers to ensure compliance with technical specificationsDefine and manage project timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategiesWork closely with software and algorithm teams to support integrated system performanceRequired QualificationsDegree in Electronics, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)Master’s degree with at least 3 years of industry experience OR 5+ years of relevant industry experienceExperience designing low-noise electronics systemsKnowledge of working within quality management frameworksExperience with risk assessment and FMEA processesPreferred ExperienceSystems involving electromagnetic sensing (e.g., impedance, capacitance, ECG, EEG, etc.)FPGA development experienceFamiliarity with VHDLMedical device development backgroundProficiency in using Altium for schematic capture and PCB layoutStrong technical documentation skillsBenefitsShare option schemePrivate medical and dental insurance5% employer pension contributionLife and health coverageComplimentary office lunchFlexible working policy (subject to business needs)25 days annual leavePerformance-based bonus schemeProfessional development opportunities (workshops, training, etc., aligned with business objectives)Team CultureYou’ll be joining a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and clinicians who value open collaboration, critical thinking, and fast-paced development.
