Engineering Delivery Manager
Base location: Cheadle / Templecombe, UK
We offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working, with a standard expectation of 3 days per week on site at Cheadle / Templecombe. At most, 15% travel is required within Thales sites and sporadically for client meetings within the UK.

About The Team / rewards
You will be managing a multidisciplinary team, including Hardware, Software, Systems, Safety, and Cyber Security, working on the delivery of sonar equipment. The team is close-knit, hardworking, and collaborative on site.
Your role
* Deliver on one of our sonar programmes, including being responsible for cost & schedule and meeting customer needs.
* Provide principal engineering delivery leadership, direction, decision authority and support to the programme or bid; direct and manage the engineering team to achieve company objectives in terms of programme schedule, financial targets and quality.
* Ensure Engineering Processes are applied correctly and in compliance with company, legislative, regulatory, and international standards. May include significant management responsibility for engineering strategy and direction and possible direct line management.
Qualifications
Applicants must be eligible to obtain UK SC Level Security Clearance without restrictions and be UK national.
About You
* You will have extensive experience of systems engineering, ideally within the defence sector.
* You will have previously worked in a multidisciplinary team as a team lead or member.
* You will have strong analytical skills supporting logical, effective and timely decision-making.
* You will have a strong appreciation of Safety and Safety Assurance within the Engineering discipline and Domain.
It would be desirable if you have undertaken a managerial role previously, ideally within defence having previously worked on submarines or sonar equipment. If not, this role offers a great opportunity to develop this part of your career.
