The successful candidate will provide cover to deliver SLT services to adults with voice disorders in North Devon. The post holder will be based at North Devon District Hospital or in a community hospital setting and will involve running clinics across the locality.
This post offers the opportunity to:
* Work collaboratively with ENT, SLT voice team based in Exeter, and specialist respiratory multidisciplinary teams to provide highly specialist intervention in voice, ENT, and respiratory conditions affecting communication and swallowing.
* Participate in the south west voice forum.
* Provide specialist support and advice to SLTs across the adult team.
* Refer to videofluoroscopy clinics as appropriate.
* The ability to travel between clinic settings is essential due to the rural nature of North Devon and the requirements of the post.
Our wider integrated SLT service provides support in:
* The acute medical/surgical setting
* Stroke/neuro acute and rehabilitation
* Community rehabilitation and outpatient services
