Workshop CI Technician
Line Manager: Maintenance Manager
Location: Ruskington
Responsibilities:
* Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are maintained in accordance with current requirements.
* Manage and plan project timelines from conception to commission.
* Attend and present at regular engineering meetings.
* Review performance of equipment and optimise for efficiency.
* Identify and implement modifications to equipment to improve reliability and performance.
* Create business case to support continuous improvement proposals.
* Take ownership of offline equipment in the engineering workshop to ensure prompt return to service.
* Proactive in ensuring Health & Safety legislation is met
* Ensure working to site specific Hygiene requirements including PPE, Technical hand back procedures etc.
* Ensure correctly completed paperwork is processed in a timely manner for all work undertaken.
* Organise and assist in the training and development of site personnel
* Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions
* Ensure effective and detailed handovers are provided at all times
* Provide effective and detailed handovers to colleagues and Manager
* Co-ordinate the installation of new equipment, as and when required
* Plan and implement modifications to new and existing equipment
* Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure efficiency of projects
* Work within the permit to work system on site
* Attend internal and external training courses to ensure technical and professional skills are maintained
* To undertake other duties as your Manager may require
* To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
Essential Criteria:
* City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical and or Electronic engineering OR City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical or Process engineering.
* Time served Apprentice
* Health & Safety in accordance with legislation
* Mechanical or Electrical skills
* External Communication skills
* Minimum 6 months as a Skill 1 Engineer
Desirable Criteria:
* Computer Literate
* In depth knowledge of all equipment used in our factory OR other suitable experience and knowledge of all site services equipment
* COSHH
* Basic Hygiene
* Breathing Apparatus
