Contract: Permanent, 33 hours per day (days)

Wilmington Manor provides a peaceful place for residents to receive residential and nursing care in a safe and homely environment. Residents requiring respite, convalescence and palliative care are also welcomed. The manor house has been converted and extended, and gardening activities are encouraged for those interested. The home offers two lounges, a dining room and the option for residents to dine in their rooms. Seasonal menus are created by the chef on the home’s staff. Staff discover what residents enjoy, and a social calendar is organised around those interests. Activity coordinators schedule bingo, quizzes, flower arranging, music sessions and organise trips, shopping outings and themed events.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
* Observe and manage residents’ behaviour with care and ensure documentation and reporting of any changes in accordance with required legislation.
* Support residents’ nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
* Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
* Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
