Tearoom Supervisor
Based in our Goathland Station.
Permanent position -
Salary: £23,423.40 per annum, based on 1716 annualised hours

Hours of Work
You will work more hours during our main operating season and less during our closed periods, normally 5 days per week, up to a maximum of 45 hours per week. Will include weekend working.
You will
* Oversee the day to day running and be a hands‑on member of the team in Grosmont Station Tearoom
* Maintain a friendly, safe working environment and retain the current 5* food hygiene rating.
* Manage and develop a small team of staff and volunteers
* Assist in food and drink preparation and service.
* On occasions you will assist in the delivery of catering duties at Grosmont and Pickering Stations (e.g. Santas Specials).
Person Specification criteria
Essential
* At least 2 years experience working in a customer facing role in a professional catering environment.
* Experience working as a supervisor in a hospitality environment including recruiting, training and performance management.
* Current Food Hygiene Certificate level 2
* Have own transport
Desirable
* Experience in a professional catering/kitchen operation.
* Recognised practical catering qualification.
* A sound knowledge of food preparation and service.
* Cash handling & cashing up experience, although full training will be given.
