Job Description
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Democratic Services Officer on a short two-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start in September on a part-time basis. You will be needed purely to clerk at meetings happening throughout September and October. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Attending and clerking at meetings
* Ensuring the efficient and effective conduct of meetings of the Council, Cabinet, Regulatory Committees, sub-committees and a range of other formal meetings
* Taking comprehensive notes of the meetings and resolutions, production of draft minutes, as well as circulating draft minutes
* Assisting the team with maintenance and development of the Council’s online services including but not limited to; uploading committee agendas, reports, minutes and audio recordings
