About This Opportunity
Do you thrive working systematically and effectively in a fast-paced environment?
Are you looking for your next challenge?
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated individual to join our established HR Systems Team. You will join a friendly, hard-working, and proactive team who are passionate about developing key systems to support service delivery and deliver high quality customer service across Cumberland Council.
The HR Systems Team is a key delivery mechanism for the Council's services providing efficient services to its customers, both internal and external, its partners, officers and members, and the Council's Enabling Services principles. We primarily maintain and develop the Council’s HR and Payroll system (iTrent) and supporting systems.
The Role
As a Systems Development and Information Officer, you will take on a leading role for the support, maintenance, and development of business management systems (with a focus on Service Now).
You will play a key role in delivering our Service Improvement Strategy which underpins the council’s People Strategy.
As an organisation, we currently use Trent Systems and Service Now for our recruitment, Payroll, HR services and manager and employee access, so knowledge of working with this software is highly desirable.
The role will also involve project management, implementation, and the ongoing maintenance of these management systems, and the right candidate will consult with managers and users to drive each part of the project, ensuring timescales are met and there is a data, intelligence, and evidence-based approach.
Who We’re Looking For
The right candidate will be an effective communicator, who can respond to any service and customer requirements, whilst positively influencing those resistant to change. You will support systems users to harness the technology available to them, as well as deliver training and ensure consistency, so the ability to adapt your communication style to the required audience is key.
You will have worked in a large, complex organisation, and have a good understanding of HR processes and local authority performance indicators, procedures, and legislation, including GDPR and Information Security. A team player, who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.
We’re also about potential over perfection and we can help you grow in the role and thrive in your career.
