Location: Pickering, North Yorkshire, Yorkshire, UKREED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading niche engineering company.CNC Machinist - NIGHTS For the first 6 months the role will be on a DAYS ONLY basis - Mon to Thursday and after the 6 months of training will be 4 on 4 of permanent nights on the following shift pattern of Monday to Thursday 8.30pm to 7.00am (40 hours per weekThe Role: We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. Through operating a variety of CNC machines, help to enhance the productivity of our organisation. The goal is to produce high quality parts and keep spindle time to a maximum.The responsibilities of the role:Setting/Operating High Speed CNC machines to perform tasks such as milling, drilling, tapping, grinding etcGeneral operation & supervision of other machine shop machinery.Ensure all tooling, fixtures & CNC programs are available prior to commencing productionKeeping accurate records of component quantities and scrap produced on the production documentationMaintain high standards in production output and component qualityUnderstanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading mechanical drawings etc.Basic Editing of Programs & tool tablesTake ownership of the component quality & recordsTo control, check & replace tooling & cuttersPrepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machinesChecking/refilling lubricant levelsKnowledge and understanding of CNC 3 axis, 4 axis machining and Renishaw probing is requiredFollow company safety systems and work protocolWhat You Will Need: The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machinery and a strong mechanical aptitude.
