If you enjoy providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment, we have an opportunity for you at our Cambridge Beehive Vets4Pets practice.
Our Cambridge Beehive practice operates alongside our new Bar Hill location, and you may be required to cover the Bar Hill practice occasionally.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours across 4 or 5 days per week, including one in six weekends.
What we're looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist:
* Previous experience in reception or administration is essential; veterinary experience is desirable.
* You are friendly, welcoming, and the face of our practice for clients and their pets.
* You should be resilient and able to work under pressure.
* An excellent communicator with strong empathy.
* Exceptional customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a passion for pets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management systems.
* Confidence when discussing finances with clients.
* An infectious personality that helps create a friendly atmosphere in the practice.
About the role:
Daily duties include answering phones, booking appointments, responding to queries via phone, email, and online messaging, registering new clients, completing insurance claims, dispensing medications, processing payments, supporting the clinical team with referrals and paperwork, and providing a warm, welcoming experience to clients.
What your typical day will look like:
Your focus is to deliver exceptional service to clients and the best care to pets, acting as a link between them and the clinical team. Building strong relationships with clients, pets, and colleagues is key to your success. You will greet clients, offer support and guidance, manage payments and bookings confidently, and ensure the smooth running of daily routines using our online booking system. Strong administrative and computer skills are essential.
