Length of employment: Job Summary: Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineers are responsible for leading the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. They lead, install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve DWP's operating environment and maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure. Job Description: As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer you will; Administer, support and maintain solutions as directed and according to departmental policy. Lead and manage operational support of IT solutions and services. Lead and support third party provision of IT Operations services and provide expertise to programmes and projects, as well as the development of architectural solutions for technology. Lead Incident and Service Management with the resolution of critical major incidents/issues impacting live service and ensure all certificate renewals are completed on time. Analyse HR and Finance data to interrogate both the current data flows and the enhanced data requirements of the API Gateway and the Synergy Programme. This role is critical to ensure the prevention of security issues regarding the integration of HR and Finance data between systems and suppliers, including breaches in UK-GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
