Warehouse Associate Location: Bamber Bridge, PR5 Contract Type: Full Time Job Type: Ongoing Temporary (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity) Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours per week Pay Rate £14.50 per hour Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday: 8:30am - 1:30pm Breaks Two 10-minute paid breaks One 30-minute unpaid lunch break Role Overview The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Warehouse Associate / Stock Assistant to join a busy warehouse and production operation in Bamber Bridge. This is a hands-on role involving stock control, goods in/out, warehouse duties, and occasional local van deliveries. The successful candidate will support the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse and production operations by ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, issued, and dispatched using a computerised stock control system. This is an excellent long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Handling goods in and goods out processes Booking in deliveries and checking stock against delivery notes Loading and unloading deliveries safely Placing stock into correct warehouse locations Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch Issuing stock and materials to the production department Carrying out stock checks, stock counts, and stock adjustments Maintaining accurate stock records using a computerised stock control system Using hand-held scanners to manage inventory Operating a Counterbalance FLT where required Making local van deliveries when required Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment Following health and safety procedures at all times Supporting general warehouse and manual handling duties Requirements Full, clean UK driving licence (Category B essential) Licence check will be carried out Previous warehouse or stock control experience preferred Basic computer skills and experience using stock systems Experience using hand scanners and inventory systems desirable Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties Good attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable with a strong work ethic Desirable Skills Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (externally accredited preferred) Reach truck experience advantageous Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment Knowledge of stock control procedures FLT training may be provided for the right candidate.
