Are you a dedicated and inspiring History Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a unique educational setting? Simply Education is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate History Teacher to join a specialized SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision on the outskirts of Boston. This role is set to commence in September 2024 and offers a competitive starting salary of £30,000 per year. This position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
Role Overview:
As a History Teacher within our SEMH provision, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of children with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your expertise will help create a supportive and engaging learning environment, enabling each student to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH.
* Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to address the unique needs of each student.
* Employ strong behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with the team, including SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff.
* Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes student well-being and academic progress.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or SEMH.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to handle challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism.
* A genuine passion for teaching History and making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant teaching qualifications and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
