My name is Daniel, and I am 18 years old. I enjoy watching football, participating in sports, playing on Xbox and many other things. I value my independence. At first, I can appear to be reserved but once I trust someone and get to know them, I can be chatty. I am a manual wheelchair user and can transfer without help into a car seat.
The purpose of this role is to enable me to access Wheelchair Rugby sessions every Tuesday from 7pm to 9:30 pm by driving me by car to Gateshead Leisure Centre where the training is located as well as driving me back when it is finished.
As my Personal Assistant you will be accountable to me in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate needs to be willing to undertake suitable training to be fully aware of my condition and needs. You must be reliable, be able to use your initiative. You must also be able to respect our privacy and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
We are looking for someone sociable who has similar interests to me, with a valid and clean driving license and their own transport. We consider patience, open mindedness, and enthusiasm to be essential attributes for this job. (Mileage will be covered)
