Your new role
As amercial Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting a fast-growing business unit, providingmercially focused legal advice across a variety of matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range ofmercial agreements, including technology, licencing and partner contracts
2. Advising on legal risk and providing pragmatic solutions to support business objectives
3. Working closely with stakeholders across the UK, Europe and North America
4. Supporting strategic growth projects, including integration work following acquisitions
5. Contributing to improvements in contract processes and legal operations
6. Collaborating with a global legal team on wider initiatives and projects
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role offering excellent exposure to cross-border work and the opportunity to develop within a supportive legal function.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified solicitor with approximately 0–5 years’ PQE, with a preference for candidates who trained and qualified within a law firm environment
Strong grounding inmercial contract law
Experience drafting and negotiatingmercial agreements
Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders
Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
Experience with data protection and/or intellectual property
