You’ll introduce a wide variety of people to the importance of your nature conservation work through events, guided walks and engaging the local community.As the Ranger, you’ll be managing 2 volunteer groups working across different areas of Limpsfield Common, National Trust sites. As you develop a flexible and effective programme of work for your team, you’ll be guided both by business needs and by the Trust’s strategy for restoring nature and enabling everyone to enjoy the countryside. You’ll be helping to protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery. You’ll pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love this area as much as you do. Whenever and wherever you come across people, you’ll take the time to talk to them and answer their questions, rather than rushing away to the next task.You’ll make sure that the conservation work and outdoor experiences on the land in your care are of the highest standard. You’ll build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the Trust and letting people know about the work you and the team are doing.You'll be assisting your team with tree safety and woodland management across the properties which have very significant woodland holdings, with exciting plans to make them much more self sustainable in the future.
