Overview
We are looking for a passionate and driven Deputy Department Manager to be based in our beautiful concession in Harrods, London. The successful candidate will be supporting the Department Manager in the efficient running of the Menswear Department, ensuring sales targets and operational targets are met and that all clients receive the highest level of service while the team is supervised and motivated.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
* Lead by example, mentor and train the team to develop their sales and service techniques.
* Support the Department Manager with the development and implementation of a local client development strategy.
* Build internal relationships to support the team to cross‑sell across product universes.
* Develop client loyalty through building relationships with VVIC and Elite clients.
* Monitor and improve the sales levels delivered within your department.
* Deal efficiently and effectively with any customer complaints.
Management Duties
* Support the Department Manager in the delivery of the department’s commercial goals whilst complying with all Company policies and through delivering the highest of standards.
* Develop relationships with Head Office colleagues to provide feedback on clientele and product performance.
* Support with the ordering and management of stock where required.
* Lead the store team by organising and delegating daily tasks.
* Support in the recruitment, evaluation, motivation and development of the team.
* Take all efforts to minimise stock losses and store operating expenses.
Other
* Support the team to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and display within the department.
* Be conversant with selling systems, cash, credit and exchange procedures.
* Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the store.
* Take all actions necessary to maximise security and prevent theft of product.
* Ensure that the boutique operates in accordance with the Company administration systems and procedures to minimise losses.
* Carry out any additional duties as directed by your Line Manager or Head Office.
* Represent Christian Dior as an ambassador at events where necessary.
Profile
* Previous experience at Assistant Manager level within luxury fashion.
* Strong knowledge of Men's RTW, shoes and accessories.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
* Proven ability to lead an experienced and capable team.
* A strong people developer, able to grow talent within the team.
* Proven track record of recruiting clients and developing long‑term customer relationships.
* A passion for Christian Dior and our collections.
* Strong knowledge of fashion and trends.
* Fluency in a second language (preferred).
