Our client is a world-class engineering and precision machining company with an excellent reputation in their specialist field. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist / Centre Lathe Turner to join their expanding team.

The Role – Manual Machinist / Centre Lathe Turner
As a Manual Machinist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Operating centre lathes of various sizes
*
Manual turning of precision engineered components
*
Working to tight tolerances and engineering drawings
*
Producing one-off and small batch work
*
Occasional use of CNC machines (training or previous experience beneficial)
*
Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
This role is primarily manual machining focused, with some CNC machining exposure advantageous.

Skills & Experience Required
To be considered for this Manual Machinist role, you must:

Be apprentice trained as a Manual Machinist / Turner
*
Have strong experience operating centre lathes
*
Be confident reading engineering drawings
*
Have experience working to fine tolerances
*
CNC machining experience would be advantageous
*
Be able to work day shifts
