West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Housekeeper to join our Adult Social Care Service at Birchwood Care Home. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care home, ensuring the well‑being and comfort of our residents.
About the Role
* Perform daily housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming.
* Maintain all areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Manage laundry services, including washing, ironing and folding.
* Assist with the organisation and storage of residents’ personal belongings.
* Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.
* Work closely with the Head Housekeeper to manage housekeeping services and meet resident needs.
About You
* Proven experience in a housekeeping role, preferably within a care or hospitality environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents and colleagues.
* Passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing excellent service.
