Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join their vibrant team due to continued business growth.
Benefits:
* Salary - £27,000 to £35,000 per annum

* Hours of work – Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm (37.5hrs per week)

Role & Responsibilities:
* Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product, bridging sales and purchasing.
* Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand, adjusting forecasts and supply chain plans to optimise inventory.
* Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
* Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
* Aid warehouse and sales teams in achieving 100% order fulfilment while minimising excess inventory.
* Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales to develop sales plans.
* Notify sales, procurement, and inventory teams of potential stock shortages and excess inventory.
* Manage regular communication with stock control and visit the warehouse as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling.
* (Essential) Experience working within the FMCG sector.
* Familiarity with sales and operations planning.
* Proficient in MS packages with clear communication skills.
* Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
* Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
