Overview
An excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a high-quality Occupational Therapy service. Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients, on an inpatient ward, with varied and complex needs located across West Berkshire.
Responsibilities
* The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the west of Berkshire.
* To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team.
* To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students.
* To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
* To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.
Qualifications and Experience
* The ideal candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with an interest in the rehabilitation of older adults, have great organisational skills and enjoy team working.
Working Pattern and Service Overview
The core hours of this role will be 8am - 4pm. Currently we are not following weekend working patterns; this may change in the future.
