Liability Claims Technician

Job Location: UK, hybrid working

Job Type: Permanent

We have a fantastic opportunity for Claims Technicians working on a hybrid basis.

An excellent opportunity has arisen in our Simply Business liability team. We are seeking individuals with previous liability claims handling experience or from an insurance background.

Simply Business, is an online broker with more than 20 Insurers on their panel. The dedicated team handle property damage, employer’s liability, public liability, personal accident, legal expenses and home emergency claims, handling claims up to £10,000 at the desk.

You will manage Employers Liability, Public Liability, and property damage claims, making informed decisions and taking claims through to settlement.

Key responsibilities include identifying fraudulent claims, evaluating evidence, handling correspondence and calls, issuing client updates, and maintaining diary processes. Empathy, understanding, and strong communication skills are essential.

This role is perfect for those who crave variety, enjoy problem-solving, and want to build a rewarding career in a fast-paced environment.

The skills you will have when you apply:

1. Experience in managing claims across multiple liability areas: Previous experience in a claims environment is essential.
2. Excellent communication skills: You will interact with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You’ll need to explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all parties involved.
3. Commitment to professional development: A dedication to working towards the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification is essential.
