Georgia-Pacific Building Products is seeking a contribution motivated individual to join the marketing team as Marketing Manager for Equity Gypsum Products in the UK and Europe. This position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of localized marketing and promotion strategies aimed at enhancing brand awareness and positioning, increasing customer engagement, and driving sales growth in the construction sector in key European and UK markets. The ideal candidate will understand the construction industry, contractor and architect behaviors, and regional market dynamics.
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is one of the largest plasterboard manufacturers in North America and the innovator of the leading roof protection board brand in North America. You will be on the International Sales Team, a growing team responsible for profitably expanding markets outside the US and Canada with our equity brand of gypsum panels. Growing the roof board category in Europe is a key growth opportunity for the broader gypsum division.
What You Will Do
1. Collaborate with sales team to align marketing efforts with business development goals and sales strategies.
2. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the UK and European markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regional needs.
3. Drive regional adaptation of campaigns, including language translation, cultural adaptation, and regional compliance, to resonate with target audiences.
4. Work closely with Product Management to understand product offerings and adapt messaging for the local market.
5. Develop and oversee region-specific digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email, and content marketing initiatives.
6. Plan and execute trade events, industry conferences, and customer events.
7. Collaborate with distributors, channel partners, and external agencies to maximize reach and ROI.
8. Establish KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and prepare reports on activities and ROI.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
1. 5+ years of proven experience in marketing strategy, planning, and execution leading to revenue growth.
2. Proven experience in the construction or building products industry.
3. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns across markets.
4. Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
5. Track record of working closely with sales teams to align marketing and growth strategies.
6. Knowledge of advertising and promotional laws/regulations in the UK and EU.
7. Fluency in English and one or more European languages.
8. Willingness to work during European office hours as needed (e.g., 3:00am to 11:00am ET).
9. Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
What Will Put You Ahead
1. Experience with product marketing in the commercial roofing sector, understanding technical features and benefits.
2. Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot).
3. Experience managing channel partners and third-party agencies.
4. Understanding of regional market dynamics and consumer behavior in the EU and UK.
