Student Support Officer
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a committed and proactive Student Support Officer to join our academy and help promote positive behaviour, personal development, and welfare. In this role, you will supervise and support students to ensure access to learning, encourage independence, and foster positive behaviour. You will assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans, and Personal Care programmes, while building strong relationships with students and acting as a positive role model.
You will encourage students to reflect on their behaviour and take responsibility for their actions, using restorative approaches where appropriate. As part of the on‑call duty team, you will provide support in lessons when needed and help maintain high standards of achievement, behaviour, and discipline. Promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students is central to this role, as is finding effective strategies to support improved behaviour.
If you are passionate about making a difference and have strong interpersonal skills, resilience, and a proactive approach, we would love to hear from you.
