4 Days a week in Office- Norwich
This role is responsible for delivering a high-quality proactive People service, providing best practice guidance, support, and advice throughout each stage of the employee life cycle. The People Advisor will support the delivery of our Strategic Goals by using their specialist expertise to help ensure our teams are motivated and engaged, and are able to, and do, perform to the best of their abilities.
Key Duties and responsibilities
* To establish effective and positive working relationships with all of our teams and ensure they receive a high-quality proactive People service.
* Providing advice and guidance to ensure best practice and compliance with policy/process and legislation, writing and maintaining relevant correspondence, providing legal, technical and policy advice regarding all aspects of the employee life cycle.
* To assist in the resolution of informal and formal disagreements / concerns raised by our people through facilitation, mediation and negotiation with all parties concerned.
* Proactively support managers to identify and effectively manage organisational change, providing specialist advice and guidance through the change process.
* To seek advice and/or refer particularly complex or high-risk cases / change initiatives to the People Services Manager.
* To undertake regular people policy and process reviews, making proposals for new and changes to existing policies/processes to ensure these are fit for purpose, effective, efficient, and compliant with legislative changes. Develop supporting management toolkits e.g., template letters, checklists, guidance documents.
* To proactively lead an effective and efficient recruitment process, supporting managers and candidates throughout the process to ensure the candidate experience is positive and that we recruit the right people with the right skills into the right job at the right time.
* To be responsible for ensuring we have up to date and accurate workforce data in iTrent and that we are using the system as effectively and efficiently as possible.
* To proactively identify workforce trends through the regular reporting and analysis of workforce data, providing support to the management teams to propose and implement effective plans/interventions to respond to and solve any problems and/or opportunities identified.
* Be responsible for auditing and reporting on all areas within sphere of responsibility to ensure good quality coaching based Quarterly PDC's are happening. Identify and support management development in this area to ensure we always get the best possible performance from our people.
* Support the People Services Manager in the collation of data, and the facilitation of the annual Performance Related Pay process.
* To participate in the design, development, and delivery of People based learning and development activities, providing both 1:1 and group training and development.
* To take responsibility for the development and implementation of designated project(s) under the direction of the People Services Manager.
* To regularly liaise with the team to share learning in support of best practice development and to ensure a cohesive and consistent People Team approach across the areas of the business
