Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their expanding LEQ team. Role Overview:
The Coordinator will manage environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources, including field officers, to deliver programs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys across boroughs.
4. Community Engagement: Develop community participation in sustainability initiatives, promote award programs, and expand coverage.
5. Communications: Serve as the primary contact, respond to technical inquiries, represent the charity at events, and create content for platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research, policy analysis, and stay updated on survey methodologies.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or 3 years' experience; at least 1 year in surveying/auditing; 2 years in program delivery; 1 year staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and access to transport.
* Understanding of environmental issues.
* Desirable: Behavior change principles.
Personal Qualities:
* Effective independent and team working abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
* Occasional travel within Northern Ireland.
* Flexibility for occasional outside-standard hours work.
Working Hours & Salary:
Flexible hours between 8 am - 6 pm, core hours 10 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday. Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent, subject to funding.
