This is a great opportunity for a PLC Controls Engineer to join a well-known manufacturing business in the heart of Telford. The company is looking for someone with experience on Rockwell PLCs.
For the successful Controls Engineer, our client is offering:
1. Permanent position
2. 8.30 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, however, flexibility to working slightly different hours is required
3. Salary of between £36,000 - £39,000 per annum (D.O.E)
4. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, an additional 5 service days on offer

The Role of the Controls Engineer:
1. Expert in the knowledge of control systems, able to specify, design, execute and install using programmable logic controllers (PLC), electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment, ensuring legislative compliance and in-line with all relevant standards.
2. Able to develop software for all control system applications to ensure maximum productivity from plant through reliability and standardisation (both technical and operator interface).
3. Support existing electrical, instrumentation and control systems and ensure requests for change/assistance are satisfied in accordance with existing standards to ensure production is maximised and all modifications are recorded/approved.
4. Recommend improvements or replacements which will improve reliability, safety or production through expert product knowledge.
5. Be familiar with Rockwell products in particular, new releases and applications where the product is in use elsewhere.
6. Must demonstrate a pragmatic, insightful, and logical approach to problem solving and continually challenge traditional methods whilst constantly thinking about simplification, standardisation, and improvement.
What our client is looking for in a Controls Engineer:
1. Educated to degree level in electrical and electronic engineering.
2. At least four years' relevant industrial experience.
3. Knowledge of H&S requirements regarding control systems, robotics, and human interface.
4. Work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Experience of working with Continuous Improvement processes.
6. Knowledge of process and packaging machinery operation and process pipework systems, to complement the control system design and programming work.
7. Experience of programming Rockwell PLC systems.
