SEND Primary Teacher – Middlesbrough
Milk Education is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified SEND Teacher to join a well-established specialist provision in Middlesbrough. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
This role is based within a supportive and inclusive school environment that places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, equality, and building positive relationships. SEND Primary Teacher – Key Responsibilities
1. Apply a strong and up-to-date understanding of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, adapting approaches to meet individual pupil needs
2. Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences that enable all pupils to progress and succeed
3. Maintain high standards of professionalism, promoting positive values and attitudes at all times
4. Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment through effective organisation and use of resources
5. Manage and support learning across individuals, small groups, and whole-class settings, adapting teaching as required throughout lessons
SEND Primary Teacher – Essential Criteria
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Experience teaching across Key Stages 1 and/or 2, ideally within a SEND setting
8. Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and the ability to apply them effectively
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with pupils, families, colleagues, and external professionals
