About the role
Senior Business Support Officer will lead, manage and support the business process of an individuals journey into Adult Social Care, within the Kettering and Corby Locality Adult Social Care Teams.
Their responsibilities include:
* Deliver and support high quality standards in relation to the business cycle, information systems, data recording and health and safety within the team service areas.
* Provide proactive administrative support to the work and financial systems.
* Arrange, support and minute various meetings as required.
* Organise and assist in the development and maintenance of business processes, to support operational staff and efficient service delivery.
* Raise awareness and knowledge for Business Support Staff, maintaining office equipment, information technology and office systems to ensure effective services.
Working pattern: Monday and Tuesday - Corby, Wednesday - WFH, Thursday and Friday - Kettering.
What will you be doing?
Maintain office equipment, information technology and office systems on a daily basis.
Line manage Business Support Officers, including supervisions, monitoring workloads and sickness.
Participate in the recruitment of new team members and the induction of Business Support staff, facilitating their integration.
Ensure record and data management systems are maintained to high standard, enabling staff to carry out duties and ensuring supported individuals receive high quality service.
Support implementation and use of Information Technology to increase effectiveness.
Provide an efficient response to requests to undertake the Protection of Property process for supported individuals where required.
Carry out any other duties that fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description and are commensurate with the grade of the post.
A full induction and training support will be provided.
About you
GCSE level education, particularly English and Maths, or equivalent.
Excellent IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Good understanding of office environments, record maintenance/management and ability to devise and improve team processes.
Demonstrable supervisory skills.
Excellent organisational ability and communication skills, including telephone communication.
High accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to produce well-presented documents.
Ability to plan and allocate work effectively, meet deadlines and work in an organised manner.
Ability to travel and attend alternate workplaces periodically; business mileage will be paid.
Excellent organisation skills with ability to multi-task and work independently.
Creative flair to maximise use of communication tools, optimise information sharing across teams, and support agile working styles with leadership for solutions to deliver business as usual.
