About the Job
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check) completed prior to commencement. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority. All necessary checks will be conducted to verify the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. Employment commences under an initial trial period. Wages are paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
Hours of Work
13 hours per week. Flexibility is essential. Main shifts are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10:00 – 15:30, with additional evenings and weekends as needed.
Rate of Pay
£13.25 per hour, with a £0.40 mileage allowance for travel.
Tasks
* Provide overall support, mentorship, and motivation.
* Transport and accompany for activities such as swimming, gym, classes, hospital appointments, and day trips to places like Ogmore by Sea.
* Remind to take medication.
* Encourage and assist with maintaining bedroom, laundry, and household chores.
* Facilitate learning activities, including sign language and other skill‑building opportunities.
* Promote independence and social skills.
* Monitor for safety risks.
