An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates & Property Services Department for an Estates Maintenance Technician - Specialist.
The successful applicant will be an experienced mechanical engineer in building services who has completed or is working to complete multi-skilled training and a number of specialist healthcare related training courses.
The successful applicant will provide both reactive and planned maintenance on a wide variety of plant and equipment across the Board area.
This post will also involve carrying out the calibration and validation of sterilisation and decontamination equipment, maintaining associated plant and accurate record keeping.
There is an expectation that the successful applicant will assume the role of Competent Person (Decontamination).
Applicants should have completed as a minimum, a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and be prepared to work towards or hold a City & Guilds qualification in one or more types of decontamination equipment.
A flexible approach to work is necessary as variations to the standard working week may be required in order to meet the needs of the service. There will be a requirement for the post holder to participate in shift working and in the out of hour’s on-call rota.
