Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: £100 – £130 per day

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education is currently looking to recruit a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work at a welcoming secondary school in Gainsborough, starting in September 2025. If you enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring students stay on task and engaged with their learning. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff looking for a new challenge in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a focused learning environment
* Support students with their work and encourage participation
* Report back to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour
* Uphold the school’s values and behaviour policies at all times
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people (in a school or similar setting) is desirable
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* A confident, positive, and proactive attitude
* A genuine interest in education and supporting student learning
* Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
