MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager for an Energy from Waste Power Station based in County Durham.
As the Operations Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), leading a dedicated team to deliver operational excellence. Your key focus will be embedding safety, predictability, reliability, & availability into all decision-making & day-to-day activities. You will foster a strong culture of ownership & accountability, promoting a safety-first mindset across every aspect of the operation.
As Plant Manager you will be responsible for:
1. Leading & developing a large operational team of technical and frontline staff, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and clear succession planning
2. Championing a robust safety, health, environmental & quality culture, ensuring full compliance with all internal systems, procedures, and legal requirements
3. Ensuring full compliance with Environmental Permit conditions & regulatory reporting requirements, including accurate and timely submissions to the Environment Agency
