Pay and Working Hours: Salary dependant on experience; £38 000 - £45 000 Our Warehouse Manager will usually work 40 hours a week, between Monday and Saturday, but will be responsible for ensuring adequate management coverage, and may need to work additional hours. The warehouse operates 7 days a week with wide shift patterns. What does this role include: Leading day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate stock handling, efficient business administration, stock management, dispatch and fulfilment. Working closely with the General manager you will implement operational plans, drive continuous improvement, and resolve complex local issues promptly. Key objectives of this role include: Leading and developing the warehouse team, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability, personal development and teamwork, and high standards of performance and behaviours. Delivering agreed warehouse performance metrics, including stock management and fulfilment, customer satisfaction, and cost efficiency. Creating and implementing operational plans and processes that maximise the efficiency of resources, ensure timely execution and promote a positive customer experience. Monitoring and optimising local workflows, identifying and resolving systemic issues, to deliver high service quality and minimise costs Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are upheld across all warehouse activities, creating a safe and compliant working environment. Our main distribution centre operations include the picking and distribution of stock for shops and delivery depots, managing multiple courier dispatches, planning and managing our distribution vehicles and the processing of recycling and waste. You’ll be given all the support, tools and training you need to fulfil this role, letting you take pride in your work. What qualifications, experience and skills are required? Management or leadership qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5, ILM, or equivalent) preferred Proven experience managing warehouse or logistics operations Track record of leading and developing teams, including succession planning Ability to evidence operational planning, KPI delivery, and cost control experience Analytical and problem-solving capability Competent in IT systems for planning and analysis Excellent communication and stakeholder management
