The team work in a hybrid manner, with a mixture of working in the office and from home, aiming for full-time staff to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

Job responsibilities

This role has a starting salary of £46,399 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week (pro-rata for part-time staff). You will conduct holistic assessments of social care needs and planning support across a dedicated caseload, working closely with families, carers and care workers. You will play a vital role in supporting people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs. You will assess for major adaptations, specialised equipment, and complete moving and handling risk assessments. You will use a strength-based approach and work with clients who may be elderly and frail, have a learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, or mental ill health. The role involves frontline holistic occupational therapy practice within a social care setting, collaborating with teams and partner organisations to enable residents to live meaningful lives in the community. You will have opportunities to undertake short-term equipment interventions or longer-term work in mental health, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities. You will work with your team and other organisations to provide an integrated service to support vulnerable adults and their carers in a community-based setting. The role supports hybrid working (you will be given a laptop and mobile phone) and you’ll have control of your diary to manage a diverse range of casework. Clients are seen in their own homes or in residential settings.
