Job Summary
Oakwood Lane Medical Practice has a great opportunity for a GP to join our team for 4-6 sessions per week, ideally to include Thursday and Friday. The post is for 10 months to cover a maternity leave and will run from September 2025 to June 2026.

Main duties of the job
Conducting face to face and virtual appointments
Processing PATCHS clinical queries and telephone triage
Participating in the on call rota and the triage lead in the Appointment Hub
Admin - arising directly from your caseload (referrals, investigations, results) and indirectly (reports, medicals, etc)

We operate in a large and modern purpose built medical centre with free parking in the LS8 area of Leeds.

Our skill mix is equally diverse. In addition to 11 GPs, 3 nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants and a Phlebotomist, we also have our own Pharmacy Technician and Mental Health Practitioner.
The clinical team are supported by a talented team of receptionists and administrators led by a Pateint Services Manager, an Operations Manager and a Business Manager.

* Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, video consultations and queries

* Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion

* Collecting data for audit purposes
* Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
