Kallikor is redefining the future of supply chains and automation by building immersive, world‑scale synthetic environments. Leveraging the latest in AI, gaming, and open‑source technologies, we empower businesses to continuously optimise, plan, and respond dynamically via a digital representation of their operations.
As a senior engineer, you will build a modern graphical user interface that allows customers to interact with our advanced simulation capabilities.
Responsibilities
* You will be a key player in shaping the future of both your and the wider Engineering teams. We are a new unit in start‑up mode and have a lot of exciting challenges accordingly.
* Lead and shape the future of our engineering team consisting of software engineers, working closely with our Product, Modelling and DevOps teams.
* Drive our technical direction in the solution space – we have a strong technical foundation, but we are always looking to innovate further and push boundaries.
* Mentor and grow the team – with a strong focus on coaching and developing our talented junior engineers.
* Handle interdependencies with our other teams.
* Effectively balance the creative exploration of a consumer‑facing experience with the need to maintain our delivery commitments.
Qualifications
* You thrive on the inherent ambiguity of an early‑stage business and can navigate frequent changes while learning and adapting our technology.
* You enjoy working on 3D graphics libraries such as Playcanvas.
* You’re passionate about technology and how it can help deliver a great product. We use React, Node and Typescript as our core technologies and expect all engineers to be proficient in those; if you believe other tools are better suited, you’ll suggest and convince stakeholders to adopt them.
* You are experienced in developing 3D web platforms. Prior experience with Three.js, Babylon.js, Unity, Unreal Engine or Godot in the gaming world will be beneficial.
* You’re experienced with coaching and mentoring a team – you don’t want to stop being hands‑on but also enjoy pairing, teaching junior members, and collaborating with product teams to steer short‑term priorities.
* You prioritize quick delivery: foundations are important and we all want to do this right, especially when it has lasting impact. The biggest risk is building the wrong stuff rather than doing it wrong, so we prefer to ship quickly and learn quickly.
* You love working as part of a close‑knit, highly collaborative group that solves complex problems and learns new skills together. You proactively reach out to the wider team for input and encourage others to do the same.
